Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, rises from sea-level on the shores of Loch Linnhe, to loom ominously 4,408ft (1,344m) above the town of Fort William. In fact, the summit of 'The Ben' lies only a few hundred feet below the permanent snow line!
Many climb The Ben each year, but very few will climb it in the dark!

http://www.maggiescentres.org/eventsfundraising/events/the_nevis_night_hike.htmlThe Ultimate Night Hike for an amazing cause. Climbing the highest mountain in the UK is an achievement in itself; tackling the famous peak at night will be a unique and thrilling experience, which you’ll remember for years to come.
Taking place on Friday 21 September we’ll be setting off with professional guides at 11pm from the foot of the mountain to reach the summit after midnight and descend as dawn breaks. You will be welcomed at the finish with a T-shirt, medal, certificate and most importantly of all a well deserved hot cup of tea and bacon roll (veggie option also available)!
Registration costs £50 per person and we ask that you commit to raising a minimum sponsorship of £300.
Every penny you raise will go towards changing the lives of people affected by cancer. Maggie's Centres is almost entirely run by voluntary funding, from our buildings and staff to our programme of support.
