Ideally located in the Scotland’s leading outdoor capital of the UK, Alltshellach Country House, is a fine Scottish residence, formerly a bishop's house, with lawns and wooded grounds that sweep down to the shores of Loch Leven. Situated on the edge of North Ballachulish village, with a superb mountain backdrop, the nearest town is Fort William, 13 miles north, a bustling resort close to Ben Nevis.
The Country House, designated as non-smoking, has 37 bedrooms equipped with a hairdryer, clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Televisions are provided in the bedrooms.
Leisure facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool with spa, three lounges and a Highland bar. The extensive grounds are ideal for a game of croquet or a walk along the loch.
Meals are served in an informal, friendly atmosphere at tables for up to 10 guests. A three-course dinner is served at 7 to 7.30pm. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. To allow you to make the most of your touring or walking holiday, a self-select picnic lunch is provided.
Free car parking is available. Please notify the Country House in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. The Country House is an excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday. Nearby attractions include the Jacobite steam train journey of Harry Potter fame and the ice wall at the Ice Factor, 9 miles away.
