Lochaber has two main towns Fort William and Mallaig with Fort William housing circa 11,000 of the the circa 19,000 Lochaber population.  There are many ways to get between Mallaig and Fort William, you could drive with one of the businesses offering Fort William Car Hire or hop on the Jacobite Steam Train a.k.a The Hogwarts Express from the Harry Potter movies.  Lochaber also has a number of smaller villages spread over the whole area.

From the visually impressive Glen Nevis where scenes from both the Harry Potter and Braveheart movies were shot, to Spean Bridge just outside Fort William which was a prolific training ground for Commandos during WWII.  It is also home to the Commando Monument and the Spean Bridge Commando Museum, which is inside the Spean Bridge Hotel.
