Kilchoan is a remote crofting village at the western end of the Ardnamurchan peninsula, a two-hour drive to the west of Fort William. Its white houses are strung like pearls around a wide bay, looking out across the Sound of Mull to Tobermory.
The surrounding area of West Ardnamurchan offers rugged scenery, empty, white-sand beaches, exceptional wildlife including red deer, sea eagles, pine martens and the rare Scottish wild cat, and welcoming visitor facilities. The most westerly point of the British mainland is at Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, six miles from Kilchoan.
